Kids Get FREE New Shoes at Local Payless ShoeSource
Payless Gives Shoes 4 Kids™
Just in time for this year’s cold season, The River Fund New York has once again partnered with Payless ShoeSource in launching its local children's shoe-giving program as part of the Payless Gives Shoes 4 Kids initiative—a national, grass roots effort to give $1.2 million of free shoes to children of families in need
Some 50 children served by The River Fund will participate in a group shoe-shopping event at the Payless store at 117-08 Liberty Ave in South Richmond Hill, Queens. The children and their parents will shop for new FREE shoes using gift coupons from Payless, enabling the children to enjoy a fun, inspiring shoe-shopping experience and to select their own free pair of new shoes
Kids and their families served by The River Fund New York, a local non-profit organization whose mission is to feed and empower those we serve to move beyond the lines of poverty. Some 50 children will redeem their Payless Gives Shoes 4 Kids gift coupons and get shoes for free.
Payless first launched the Payless Gives Shoes 4 Kids program domestically in 2008 through a unique grass roots approach by partnering with localized not-for-profit partners throughout America to join in the giving campaign to give away $1 million of free new shoes. In 2009, Payless extended the program beyond the U.S. to reach families in Canada, Puerto Rico and 11 Latin American countries, delivering more than $1.2 million of free shoes
