Fund Raising Campaigns
The Feinstein Annual $1 Million Giveaway
Donations to The River Fund will be matched by the Feinstein Foundation. Donations must be received from March 1st to April 30th, 2010. These donations can include cash, checks and food items (valued at $1.00 per item or pound). The million dollars will be divided proportionately among all agencies with a minimum of $250 and a maximum of $40,000 to any one agency. Feinstein’s past 12 annual $1 million challenges to fight hunger have raised a record $1 Billion for over 2000 agencies nationwide.
BAR CODING SYSTEM CAMPAIGN
We need multiple donations for a $5,000 barcoding system to process client choice food
distribution and client id's.
CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
Ongoing for general operating support.
BUILDING CAMPAIGN
Ongoing for the purchase/maintenance of a Food Pantry/Outreach center.
dotOrg-athon FUNDRAISER
2010 dates to be announced.
Enroll as an individual or group to walk and raise funds for The River Fund in this citywide charity event.
GIFT GIVING CAMPAIGN
September through early December to raise funds and collect
gifts in kind of new toys, stuffed animals, new clothing, and personal
care items for distribution at Christmas time
and for
Special Events:
January - February: Valentine's Day
October: Halloween.
BACK TO SCHOOL CAMPAIGN
Every August to raise funds and collect gifts in kind of back packs,
school supplies and school clothing/uniforms for school age children.
WINTER COAT CAMPAIGN
October through early December to raise funds and collect gifts in kind
for new and slightly used winter coats, hats, glove, scarves and socks.
In-kind gifts or cash donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
